In the 1990s, the business expanded into the manufacturing of detergents, establishing itself as a trusted player in consumer products. The 2000s marked another milestone with the move into enzyme production and food stabilizers, providing vital ingredients for food and industrial applications.
By 2022, the company ventured further into the trade of Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical raw materials, combining science with sustainability to support the growing global demand for health and wellness solutions.
The latest chapter began in 2025, with the establishment of RN Algaetech—a bold step into the research and manufacturing of algae and algae-based products. Algae, one of nature’s simplest yet most powerful organisms, represents the company’s vision for the future: addressing global challenges such as sustainable protein production, world hunger, and clean supplementation, whilst contributing positively to planetary health.

About Mohit Mehtaa
Mohit Mehtaa is the Co-founder and CEO of RN Algaetech, where he leads the company’s vision to harness the power of algae to solve some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Guided by the principles of non-violence, veganism, and sustainability, he is committed to developing solutions that create positive impact for the planet, animals, and humanity.
With a Master’s degree in International Business from the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) and experience in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries, Mohit brings a unique blend of global business expertise and deep industry knowledge. His leadership at RN Algaetech focuses on advancing algae-based innovations to provide sustainable proteins, combat world hunger, and deliver clean nutritional supplementation.
A passionate biohacking enthusiast, Mohit also explores how food compounds influence human health and longevity, reflecting his belief that science and ethics together can drive lasting transformation.
About Vaibhav Mehta
Vaibhav’s journey to RN Algaetech began with the belief that algae holds the future of nutrition. With a background in Biotechnology and a PhD in Biochemistry, he has dedicated his career to turning scientific discovery into real-world health solutions.
Before co-founding RN Algaetech, he gained vital experience in the CRO industry, specializing in regulatory compliance, global quality standards, and translating research into practical applications. This instilled his commitment to rigor, transparency, and trust—values he now applies to product development and innovation.
As CTO, Vaibhav leads R&D, process optimization, and quality systems, ensuring every product reflects both scientific excellence and sustainability. His passion is to make algae-based nutrition accessible worldwide, uniting science and nature to support human and planetary health.
